Stay cautious techies. There’s a few cables, screen-walkers and tired-tech heads out there. In the unlikely event that something scarier than a low-battery warning occurs, take heed of these Health and Safety guidelines.

 

SKYCITY

Fire and emergency evacuation

  • If you discover a fire, activate an alarm and notify a SKYCITY staff member.
  • When you hear the alarm use the stairs to proceed immediately to your nearest exit.
  • Follow any further instructions from SKYCITY staff members.
  • Await clearance before re-entering SKYCITY.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited within SKYCITY. The nearest dedicated smoking balcony is located on level 3, adjacent to the air bridge.

 

Crowne Plaza

Fire and emergency evacuation

  • When the fire alarm sounds evacuate out the nearest fire exits immediately.
  • The hotel assembly area is in front of the neighbouring BDO Tower, 120 Albert Street.
  • From level 5 (the Ballroom or Hobson room): evacuate via the glass doors facing Albert Street
  • From the Elliot rooms: evacuate through the main entrance on Albert street or alternatively down the fire exit stairwell.
  • From Level 6 (the Albert room, the Victoria room, Wellesley and the Boardroom): evacuate via the staff door opposite the toilets.
  • Wheelchairs can be requested through the Duty Manager. If you require assistance, use these evacuation points:
    • Level 5 (behind Ballrooms out to car park)
    • Level 6 (fire exit to car park by Toilet area)
    • Level 4 normal via front entrance.

Smoking

Crowne Plaza Auckland is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is permitted outside of the hotel. There is a smoker’s box located outside of the glass doors on level 5.
